Barn Wedding Elegant with a Rustic Touch

Inside the Barn at Belcroft

Nearby to my studio, is the lovely Belcroft Estates & Event Centre.  According to it’s website, it has

been a family operated business since the beginning of the 20th century and has become an award winning leader in its field.
“The Victorian Estate has been maintained to keep the charm of the original home with its beautiful landscaped property and display gardens.
“The property also features an authentic rural Ontario working farm with a sense of history through its buildings, property and architecture.
The Authentic Ontario Barn was built in 1908 and has been totally renovated to offer a classic yet rustic venue for your special day surrounded by a courtyard and pavilion to hold your function.”

If you are not familiar with Belcroft, then you may not be familiar with Christina Spring, on-site Exclusive Event co-ordinator at the Event Centre.  She also has her own Event Management company, A la Carte.  We had a great time doing her wedding, but that’s another post…

The warm, inviting barn

This wedding belongs to Paula & Carlos, a lovely couple that wanted the refined rustic look.  So, we went to town with rosette bands on the “Sophisticate” chair covers – both in the soft gold, alternating table linens and napkins with gold and burnt orange tafetta linens, crystal candelabra, tissue paper balls hanging from the beams, and many more details.

Fun picture, isn’t it?  Here’s a new combo:  the photographer was also the cake baker!  Check out her site Yours to Savour.  Her name is Dianna.

Posy for the Bridesmaids

Posy for the Bridesmaids

I love this style of posy – it is a composite flower.  A single blossom made of a number of other blossoms, deconstructed and re-assembled into one large bloom.  Classy and unique.
