After the weddings….

Ah, a long weekend….usually means relaxing with friends, going to the cottage, enjoying the sun.  But when you are a wedding professional, it means lots of weddings, usually 3 days worth.  And this was no exception.  3 very different weddings.

Golf Club Sophisticate  Michelle’s wedding was a beautiful statement of whites and purples, orchids and crystals.  Her headtable had beautiful layers of chiffon, softly lit with fairy lights and accented with oversized rhinestone broaches for extra sparkle.  On either side of the two-tiered headtable, we placed tall, high-gloss white pedestals with manzanita branches dripping with crystals and orchid blossoms.  All very beautiful!

A simple ceremony with a dinner to be held the next evening.  All that was needed to define the ceremony area was 2 very large, tall fluted glass vases filled with tall branches and purple and mauve stocks, larkspur and hydrangeas.  These were so tall the almost they reached the ceiling in the ceremony room!

Purples

A Farm Wedding Tara is an art teacher who really has an eye for colour and style.  She chose her family farm as the setting for her ceremony and had a stunning day!  The rain poured all night, thunder rumbled, lighting flashed, but the day dawned perfect.  We covered her garden chairs in white covers, built an arbor from white birch, set out beautiful garden arrangements on two tall pedestals.  Tara’s dress was a tea-length cream shift accented with Gary’s tarten scarf.   The flowers were a mix of garden types all with white daisies added to represent Tara’s late Mother.
